2020 Floor Hockey Season from Brian Estock

Hello everyone. The SRC Floor Hockey Committee first and foremost hopes that this email finds you and your families healthy amidst the current pandemic. Needless to say it has affected us all, and continues to do so.

The Hockey Committee has been gathering as much data as possible, and unfortunately has come to the conclusion that the 2020 Floor Hockey season has been officially cancelled. Many people (including the committee) were hoping that maybe we could pick up where we left off… but due to Town and State regulations, this cannot happen.

We would like everyone to know that at this time, we are planning a discount for the 2021 season as a reimbursement for this past season’s abrupt ending. As you can imagine, the SRC’s income is non-existent at this time, thus placing them in severe financial distress. The Hockey Committee will be working with the SRC Board of Directors over the coming months to determine exactly the amount of discount we can offer.

Hopefully things will continue to improve, and the 2021 season can be held as normally as possible. Signups should be on the website www.southwickhockey.com as usual starting in December. We will try to post any new information on the website and our Facebook page when the time gets closer.
